Rihanna Released From Hospital, Concert Postponed
February 10, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
Barbadian singer, Rihanna was released from the Cedars Sinai Medical Center late last night after being assaulted and threatened by boyfriend Chris Brown, who turned himself in to Los Angeles police. She had suffered to large contusions on her face, bite marks on her arms and fingers, a split lip and a bloody nose.
According to E! Online, she was released out of a back door from the hospital and a source involved with the investigation says, “They used a decoy to throw off the media.”
The same source also says that when Rihanna was interviewed and asked about what she and Chris had been fighting about, she was reluctant to answer. Regardless of that, Rihanna has been cooperative with the police investigation.
She has also had to postpone her sold out concert in Kuala Lumpur which would have taken place this Friday.
A spokesperson for Pineapple Concerts announces, "In light of recent events involving Rihanna, [William Morris Agency] will confirm within two weeks from now on a replacement date to be mutually agreed. We sincerely regret this unavoidable shift in schedule and apologize to the fans for any inconvenience caused."
I’m sure Rihanna’s fans understand and are supportive of her at such a hard time. She needs to just stay home and rest for a while. This has got to be a strain physically and emotionally.
