Rihanna says “Domestic Violence Doesn’t Define Who She Is” – Videos
November 10, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
Rihanna spoke with MTV’s Sway, who asked her all types of questions relating to her her life, her assault, and her music, and she seemed very comfortable answering all the questions!
When talking about helping young girls get through domestic violence, she said, "One of the big things for me, I always want to help young women and give them insight into life experiences.”
She said, "One of those things is going through an abusive relationship like I did. But that’s one thing for me. So I don’t want to be the big domestic-violence spokesperson, because that doesn’t define who I am. But if I can help young women in any way, and that being one of the things they need help with, then I’ll do that."
She also lightened up the mood with chatter about her upcoming album, Rated R and even said she’s excited to start touring!!

Im so proud of her! She’s matured a great deal from this situation.
love it, didnt she wear that top in one of her vids? or was it cheryle cole that wore it in her “fight for this love” vid?
Rhina’s comment during a interview with a morning show was profound for me. She indicated that she had to separate the love from what was best for her. Many people don’t understand what it is like to be in this type of rel’ship. It is very difficult to give up on someone you love when they keep promising they will never do it again…and they love you so much.
