Rihanna’s 20/20 Interview Had Great Ratings

November 10, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

I’m sure ABC is very happy that Rihanna chose to speak out for the first time on their television show. On Friday,  the singer appeared on 20/20, and had an interview with Diane Sawyer about the Chris Brown assault.

That night, 20/20 got the most viewers it’s had all year, raking in 8.2 million  viewers among those 18-49 years old. Also, it brought in the most people aged 18-34, that the show has had in three years. That’s awesome! It’s great to see that her voice truly does matter and that people want to hear what she has to say.

In an interview with MTV, RI-RI also sad that since her interview the domestic violence help phone went up in calls by 59% and the teen help line went up by 73%!
