Barbadian singer, Rihanna attended the launch of the Tattoo Heart Collection, presented by Gucci and UNICEF and created as a fundraiser for the charity organization. The event was held in New York City at Gucci’s 5th Avenue store yesterday.

What do you guys think of Rihanna’s outfit? I’m liking the fun and flirty makeup, but the hair…I’m not liking the hair. Overall, I think she looks good, and I’m just happy she’s supporting such a good cause.

Also, in related news, Rihanna will be attending the UNICEF 2008 Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in New York City tonight! So if any of you are interested and you’re in the area, head down to the Grand Army Plaza.

Caryl Stern, President and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF says,”We are thrilled to have Rihanna take part in the lighting ceremony in New York City. She has tremendous enthusiasm for helping those in need and is the ideal person for spreading the UNICEF Snowflake’s message of hope, peace, and compassion for children around the world.”

Ne-Yo is also scheduled to perform at the event, so it sounds like this will be a fun filled night. I’m so proud to be a fan of Rihanna - she’s such a great person!

Finally, here is the video for Rihanna’s new single “Rehab“, which was written by Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Hannon Lane, off of Ri-Ri’s 2007 “Good Girl Gone Bad” album. Both Timbaland and Justin contributed with back-up vocal, as well, during the bridge of the song. Justin Timberlake also appears in the actual music video, which was filmed on October 21, 2008 in Vasquez Rocks Park outside of Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, Rihanna was scheduled to perform a gig in Jakarta, Indonesia, but had to cancel due to some sketchy stuff that might be going on in the country at the time.

Thee Islamic militants were executed on the weekend in relation to the 2002 Bali terrorist bombings. These militants told their supporters to seek revenge by killing people if they were to be punished. So, it really is no surprise that Rihanna would bow out on visiting there. I surely wouldn’t feel safe going there knowing what was going on. Apparently, they want her to come back in January, so we’ll see if she can make up for canceling the concert.

Reports say that while in Australia, singers and rumored lovebirds, Chris Brown and Rihanna spent half an hour at Ariane Lingerie. Supposedly, Chris bought $800 worth of lingerie for his lady.

Also, there were reports of the two seen holding hands and holding each others thighs as they walked into Diesel in Paddington. Um…okay. Thigh holding? If this is at all true, then I don’t know why they would go walking in to a place holding the other’s thigh if they’re trying to keep people from noticing their relationship.

Unfortunately, our dearest Rihanna did not walk away with an award at the 2008 World Music Awards in Monte Carlo yesterday. She was nominated in two categories. The first being World’s Best Female Pop Artist. She was against Madonna, Leona Lewis and Mariah Carey. New artist, Leona ended up winning the award.

Her second category was World’s Best Female R&B Artist, and was up against Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis and Mariah Carey. Alicia, ended up snatching the title. Congrats to all the winners and nominees at the awards last night! Rihanna didn’t have to win. Being nominate is a victory in it’s own.

Rihanna has been nominated twice at the 20th Annual World Music Awards! Her categories are for World’s Best Pop Female Artist and World’s Best R&B Artist.

The award show airs today in Monte Carlo at 3 pm ET and will be hosted by Jesse Metcalfe of “Desperate Housewives” and Michelle Williams of former musical group “Destiny’s Child.” Songstress, Beyoncé Knowles will be the opening act.
