After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of her former boyfriend, Chris Brown, Rihanna was left bruised bloodied and was left almost unconscious on the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards. After being charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, Chris Brown has not been sentenced to jail. Instead he faces 5 years of probation, 180 days of community labor and a no-contact clause.

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty is less than pleased about the court’s decision. He thinks that they should have given Chris jail time. According to him, Chris got off easy.

He complains, "Chris should have been sent to jail for what he did to my girl. He’s got off lightly. Chris put her through hell, she’s just relieved it’s all over."

I can’t really say that I disagree with him. I though his sentence might have been a little to lenient. I mean, he really almost killed her. What do you guys think? Did Chris get away easy?

On June 22nd, a judge ruled that Chris Brown was not to have contact with Rihanna and is only permitted to be within 50 yards of her. This court came to this ruling after Chris attacked is girlfriend Rihanna on the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards. However, the two supposedly find this ruling “ridiculous.”

A friend of them both had this to say of their opinions of the protection clause, "They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous. After [the proceeding], Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now."

They are both set to attend the 2009 BET Awards, which will be held tomorrow. At such industry events, the judge has allowed Chris Brown to stay a minimum of 10 yards away from Ri-Ri.

Though the two find it unnecessary to adhere to the protection laws, they supposedly have no desire to remain a romantic item. "That’s 100% done. They aren’t looking to hook back up again. They’re both moving on and going their separate ways," says the source.

Recently a song has been floating around the internet by Chris Brown called “Not My Fault.” People have been making a big deal about it, saying that the song is about Brown’s situation with former girlfriend, Rihanna. However, a rep from Jive Records said in a statement, "There are several old demos circulating that are being falsely promoted as new material from Chris."

Some of the lyrics in the song are, "When I first met you, I told ya that you’ll be safe. In the midst of arguing something, falls to the floor and breaks. You look down and see what you dropped, oh, it’s your heart. Shortie’s caught up from a long night. She’s ready to fall but she’s all right. That’s just something that can happen when you put it down. She’s caught up, it’s not my fault, right."

It does sound a bit like Chris is talking about Rihanna in the song, but I guess he’s not! You can listen to it below!

After beating his girlfriend, Rihanna, the night before the Grammy Awards, Chris Brown has pleaded guilty of felony charges. As a result he has been sentenced to 5 years on probation and 180 days of community labor.  In addition, he will have to go to domestic violence classes for one year and he’ll have to pay fines as well.

The Superior Court Judge, Patricia Schnegg was heard saying, "Mr. Brown, I think it’s commendable that you took responsibility for your conduct."

Chris has also been ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna unless it’s at  industry events. In such cases he must stay at least 10 yards away. He is also not permitted to contact her in any way. However, Rihanna and her lawyer, Donald Etra, tried to obtain a less-restrictive order. If Chris violates his probation, he could face four years in jail.

Mark Geragos, Brown’s attorney, said of his client, "He’s very thankful to all the people who’ve been very supportive. This is a kid who’s never been in trouble before, who wants to move past this and make sure that the message gets out that these kinds of things, of domestic violence, are not acceptable. And that he has accepted responsibility and continues to do so and embraces this as an opportunity for him to get his life back on track and his career back on track."

Judge Schnegg said of the ruling, "I want Mr. Brown to be treated the same as any other defendant who would come into this court. That means something like Caltrans [trash pickup] or graffiti removal."

Rihanna entered the courtroom as soon as Brown was finished being sentenced. the judge explained the deal to Rihanna, who was wearing a black dress and pearls. The only words spoken by her were “Thank you, your honor.”

Chris Brown will appear in court on August 5th where the court will drop the second charge of making a criminal offense.

On June 22, Rihanna will have to testify in court at Chris Brown’s hearing. He faces the court with charges of assault and criminal threats towards former girlfriend, Rihanna. Though I’m sure everyone was waiting to see Rihanna take to the stand, it has been confirmed that the hearing will not be televised. 

Earlier in the week, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, fought to have this hearing delayed, however, they were denied their request. With the judge ruling that no cameras are permitted inside the courtroom while Rihanna is testifying, I’m sure they’ll also try to do their best from letting any info leak to the public.

I’m a little disappointed, I won’t lie. My nosy self wanted to hear what Rihanna had to say! Were you guys hoping to catch this on TV?

Both Rihanna and Chris Brown were at Game 4 of the 2009 NBA Finals last night, the two teams being the L.A. Lakers and the Orlando Magic. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the two had wanted get seats next to each other, however, as the game started, the two were seen seated away from the other.

Rihanna reportedly was rooting for the Lakers while Chris Brown was said to be cheering for the Magic. I know a lot of celebs end up going to these games. Was it a coincidence, or do you think it’s true that they tried to be seated next to each other?

Rumor has it that Rihanna will be delivering something that many of us have been waiting for: a true diss song, taking stabs at Chris Brown. According to reports, Rihanna will be working with rapper Trina to make it happen. 

A source supposedly tells Star magazine, She’s writing a song with rapper Trina dissing Chris. Rihanna’s planning to put it on the album to really stick it to him … She even changed her ringer on her cell to another Trina song called ‘Wish I Never Met You’."

Slowly, but surely more info on Ri-Ri’s upcoming album is being revealed. Rapper, Drake has recently said that he’s working on “special stuff.” We’ve also heard reports that she’s been working with Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z. Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic has also confirmed that he is writing and producing the album along with Norwegian production team, Stargate. They all had pretty positive things to say even describing her as “inspiring.” The album is supposed to be released some time later this year.

I guess it’s all just a matter of waiting to see what happens!

Katy Perry, who has since become a close friend of Rihanna’s has said the the singer is now coping well with the alleged attack that she endured from former boyfriend Chris Brown on February 8th, before she was scheduled to perform at the 2009 Grammy Awards.

Katy says that Ri-Ri is getting herself back together and looking at the situation in a more productive and positive way. “Rihanna is doing great. She’s come around, she’s turned around and she is happy I think. She is giving off that vibe that everything is going to be cool and everything is going to be ok.

The “Waking Up in Vegas” singer continues, “I don’t think she is worried about it right now. I think that she is moving on with her life - as she should. She is just a total sweetheart.”

That is fantastic! I think the world is also starting to see that Rihanna is slowly becoming more like herself. I mean, I can’t imagine what it must be like for Rihanna to have to go through all this stress and humiliation in front of the public. And then, with the leaks of several nude photos that have been appearing across the internet. It’s too much all at once, It’s a miracle that she seems to be handling it nicely. It’ll be interesting to see how the story develops after she testifies in court at Chris Brown’s preliminary hearing.

Well this just keeps on getting more and more awful. According to Star magazine, an informant of theirs is saying that Rihanna has plans to pull off some sort of revenge, believing that Chris Brown is responsible  for  the release of nude photos of her online. She is scheming to release several photos of a nude Chris Brown to the public.

The source, who is being called a "one in-house informant" says of Rihanna’s supposed attempt at revenge, “She says she’s going to release her own photos of Chris. She has less-than-flattering nude pics of him that she plans on leaking. Rihanna says he’ll be really embarrassed."

The informer also says that Rihanna is hoping to release information about what he’s like in bed. Apparently, “she taught him everything he knows.” Oh and “she’s going to ruin his sexy image." As if he hasn’t done that by himself already…

Although everyone seems to believe that Chris released Rihanna’s nude photos, his rep says he didn’t do it, claiming, “This is both a false and defamatory statement. Chris has not released or ‘leaked’ any photos of Rihanna (or anyone else for that matter)."

Well that certainly is an interesting twist to this story. Not that you should believe most of the stories that are produced by Star magazine. They’re not always the most credible source to go to for info. I also have a hard time believing that Chris would release nude pictures of Rihanna, knowing that she has some of him as well. Either he’s just stupid or this story is false. What do you think?

Here’s a video of some never before seen photos of Rihanna and her current ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown. The two can be seen cuddling in bed and in a car.  The photos would be pretty sweet – if Chris Brown wasn’t on trial for allegedly beating the songstress.

How weird is it that all these photo leaks have been happening recently? I wonder if the same person who leaked the nude photos of what look to be Rihanna, is the same person responsible for these never before seen pics. Check out the video below.
