Katy Perry and Rihanna have been spending some girl time together, so I’m sure Katy knew she’d be answering questions about Rihanna sooner or later.

She was asked by Extra on how the “Disturbia” singer was holding up. She  responds by saying "She’s fine. She’s happy. Happy girl… she’s smiling."

Though Katy and Ri-Ri seem to be having lots of fun together, Katy also says that she will not be talking about Rihanna’s current situation involving the assault that Chris Brown allegedly dished out to her.

The “Hot ‘N Cold” songstress says, "We’re just friends. I don’t get into her business. I think people don’t really know the situation of what’s going on unless they’re in the situation… I think it’s respectful to not even talk about it."

Well, I’m sure Rihanna’s pretty grateful for that. With everyone talking about her business, I’m sure it’s nice to be friends with someone who’s not bringing it up every two seconds.

Chris Brown is definitely more open than Rihanna, he is less coy about the budding relationship as Rihanna tries so hard to deflect with quick answers…

Rihanna can spot a fake friend from a real one. And she’s not afraid to speak out about people she claims try and befriend her because of her fame.

Rihanna says she’s had to fend off tons of fake friends since her launch of her career in 2005. She says, “I have a good bull detector, so I’m good at figuring out who is real and which people want to be my friend because of what I am versus who I am.”

She also has no problem speaking out about women who are too dependent on their man.You shouldn’t depend on a guy to make your life better or good at all.”

She’s one tough cookie! Maybe that’s why she keeps her relationship with Chris Brown so ambiguous.
