Rihanna Gets Praised by Kanye, Ranked #6 on Best Bodies List

July 6, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

Kanye West was recently heard chatting about his style preferences and choices. When asked if there was someone who thought had their style completely all figured out he named Rihanna, even calling her a 90531M4_RIHANNA_B-GR_05genius for it.

In fact, in the interview the rapper really dished out the praise to Ri-Ri, who has indeed been noted for her unique fashion sense.

He says of Rihanna, "She’s kind of like a genius because regardless of how many stylists she has, I know she does it on her own. That’s an innate talent, having style like that. It’s kind of like the way people play sport, some people just hit the shoots into the net better. Yeah. Fashion is a sport in a way."

Wow! That was kind. I’m sure that probably put a smile on her face. I’m actually not so crazy about Rihanna’s fashion at the current time, but I thought she hit the nail on the head and looked her best with her style about 1-2 years ago. What do you guys think? Is Rihanna really a fashion genius?

In other news, OK! Magazine has ranked Rihanna as #6 on their annual list of the 10 Best Bodies of the year! The excerpt said:

"Cardio, cardio, cardio!" the SOS singer, 21, tells OK!. “I prefer the treadmill. When I perform I dance so much it helps me stay in shape." She’s ditched crabs for egg whites, veggies and fish - but sometimes nibbles a little KFC (hot wings are her fave).

Rihanna does have quite a nice body especially with those killer legs! It’s also nice to know that she indulges in those not-so-healthy foods, too. Congrats, Ri-Ri!

The Final Version of Kanye West’s “Paranoid” Music Video

June 4, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

Geez. It seems like there are a hundred versions of Kanye West’s music video for “Paranoid” which features Rihanna as the female in the video. This is supposedly the official and final version of the music video, The one that was released is apparently not the final product. In this one, Rihanna is seen driving with Kanye’s face haunting her while the other one was mostly just her dancing to the song provocatively.

Nabil Elderkin directed the video and said, "It’s fantasy meets paranoid, when you get into that frame of mind and get trapped into your thoughts.  It starts out subtle, but then it just builds. So I wanted to get that into the video, to build that into her dream sequence and get her into that paranoid state of mind."

For what it’s worth, I’m glad they changed it. This version is a lot more eerie. Check it out below:

Official Video for Kanye West’s “Paranoid” ft. Rihanna

Although we saw a video of L.A. Reid premiering the video for “Paranoid” by Kanye West, the clip was not all that great for those who weren’t in the audience at the Def Jam party. The video was first seen at the Island Def Jam Spring Collection Party.

So, here’s a much better look at the music video which features Rihanna. She has no vocal part in the song, but merely looks sexy and..well…paranoid in the video. Check it out below!

L.A. Reid, Chairman of Island Def Jam premiered the music video for “Paranoid” by Kanye West at the Island Def Jam Spring Collection party yesterday. Though she doesn’t sing in the song, Rihanna is featured in the music video.

Kanye had revealed recently that she’d be in the video saying, Yep, she’s my Paranoid girl in the video. She’s an amazing talent though. Collaborating with her is always a pleasure!”

The video is not great quality, so when the real version is released I’ll put it up. It’s quite and interesting video. Watch it below!

Everyone has been keeping their eyes open for Rihanna lately, but we won’t have to work so hard this summer because reports say she’ll be starring in Kanye West’s music video for his song “Paranoid”. The single comes from his album “808s and Heartbreak”, which also gave us his single “Heartless” and “Love Lockdown.”

Talking about Rihanna, he says, "She’s my Paranoid girl in the video. She’s an amazing talent …" He was asked about what it’s like to work with the songstress to which he responded, "Collaborating with her is always a pleasure!"

No one is sure when the exact release date, but it should be out in the summer months. Rihanna and Kanye worked together on the “Glow in the Dark Tour” and are both releasing their own fragrances, thanks to Jay-Z’s deal with Parlux Fragrances.

This should be exciting! Can’t wait to see how the video turns out!

Rihanna Teaming Up with Kanye West?

December 19, 2008 by Lauren Croteau

Rumor has it that Kanye West and Rihanna may step into the recording studio to do a collaboration by re-recording Kanye’s song “Paranoid” off of his album “808’s & Heartbreak.” Though, neither Rihanna or Kanye have confirmed this, some expect the track to be released in January of the new year.

Kanye has been reported as saying “Paranoid” would be his next released track but that he was “not gonna release [the track] for awhile.”

Interesting! That could be a cool collab! I can’t wait to find out if this is true or not.

Kanye West, Rihanna, N.E.R.D and Fiasco Shine at Glow in the Dark Tour Opener

Check out the Rolling Stone review of Kanye West’s Glow in the Dark Tour which Rihanna is opening for:

No apologies were necessary from Rihanna, whose stage set-up included light-up speaker stacks that glowed yellow, pink and aqua. The singer and her dancers’ clothes were basic black accented by pink and lime neon; the entire presentation was very new wave, down to Rihanna’s bright pink lipstick. The show was tightly choreographed but never felt laborious, and she got some traction doing “Hate That I Love You,” a duet with Ne-Yo on record, by herself. She also introduced “Umbrella” by saying, “I remember going up to Dream” (R&B phenom The-Dream, who helped produce and write the song) “and saying, ‘If you give this record away [to someone else] I’m going to kill you.’”
