Chris Brown Diss Song in the Works for Rihanna?

June 3, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

Rumor has it that Rihanna will be delivering something that many of us have been waiting for: a true diss song, taking stabs at Chris Brown. According to reports, Rihanna will be working with rapper Trina to make RIHANNAit happen.

A source supposedly tells Star magazine, She’s writing a song with rapper Trina dissing Chris. Rihanna’s planning to put it on the album to really stick it to him … She even changed her ringer on her cell to another Trina song called ‘Wish I Never Met You’."

Slowly, but surely more info on Ri-Ri’s upcoming album is being revealed. Rapper, Drake has recently said that he’s working on “special stuff.” We’ve also heard reports that she’s been working with Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z. Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic has also confirmed that he is writing and producing the album along with Norwegian production team, Stargate. They all had pretty positive things to say even describing her as “inspiring.” The album is supposed to be released some time later this year.

I guess it’s all just a matter of waiting to see what happens!

May 30, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

British rock group, the Noisettes met up with Rihanna at the Island Def Jam Spring Collection party recently and the lead singer, Shingai Shoniwa even posed for pics with Rihanna. After the party, the group has since said that they’d like to work with the songstress.

The drummer for the group, Jamie Morrison said, "We had dinner with Rihanna at the event and she was on really good form."

The Noisettes at the Rise Festival in London 15th July 2007

He told The Daily Star, "She’s a big fan of our band so I could see her and Shingai strutting around on stage sometime."

The most recent tune released by the Noisettes would be “Don’t Upset the Rhythm” which reached a peak position of #2 on the UK Singles Chart. I’ve got to admit that I’m not really familiar with the Noisettes but hopefully they’ll get to live out their wish and do a collaboration with Ri-Ri. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens!

New Rihanna Demo “Hallucination” – Audio

May 27, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

Have you guys heard this new demo for what people are calling a Rihanna song? This demo track is called “Hallucination.” It was reportedly written by Joshua Bass and produced by Laze & Royal.

What do you think of the song? The song sounds like it needs some more production. Some of it just sound ridiculous, but I think it could have the potential to be a catchy tune. Keep in mind, the track has not even been confirmed as a Rihanna track, yet. Listen to it and let me know what you think!

April 24, 2009 by Lauren Croteau

In the wake of the assault drama that took place between Chris Brown and Rihanna in February, the Barbadian singer is already back at work and recording for her upcoming album. According to reports, Rihanna is making   music about "different situations in her life, just things that inspire her."80810J4_RIHANNA_B_GR_04

Ryan Tedder, of musical group OneRepublic, is helping to write and produce the album. When asked about the lyrics of the songs he replies, "We’re not there yet. She’s someone … who has something to say, so I will let her lead whatever she wants to say."

He was asked how she seems to be doing right now, to which he replied, "She’s phenomenal. She’s confident and strong and doing what she does."

In other news, Rihanna has also been working with Stargate, a Norwegian production team consisting of Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen.

Says Eriksen, "We were just in the studio making some new records. Always very exciting to start. She has a character about herself now in her voice and it’s great to see," he said. "[It's] very inspiring for us."

The titles of the songs are being kept secret, "I don’t think we should talk about titles just yet. We don’t really know which songs are gonna make it, but it feels exciting."

Well, it’s good to hear that she seems to be getting her life back on track. Hopefully, she’ll be able to push all of this behind her.

Dizzee Rascal Eyes Rihanna For Collaboration

July 8, 2008 by Melody

Dizzee Rascal is celebrating a number one single in the UK this week, but that’s not all - he also has plans for another high-profile collaboration, following his partnership with Calvin Harris on the track Dance Wiv Me.

“I wouldn’t mind sorting out a collaboration with Rihanna.” The UK rapper told the Daily star. “I’ve met her once and she’s nice, man.”

Rascal also went on to deny claims that he sold-out by recording ‘Dance Wiv Me’, “Some people might see this as me selling out but no way. Every track I write I try to make different from the last and as my profile has risen with all the festivals and live shows I’ve done, I’ve wanted to experiment more.”

“My audience has got more diverse, which I love. I’ve even started seeing teenyboppers in the front rows.” Says Dizzee. “Experimenting with dance music is a good way for British rappers to get on the radio and into the charts.”
